Penguins Victorious Over Bruins, Head to Eastern Conference Finals Vs. IceCaps

Game seven opened up with some great chances for the WBS Penguins some nice speed and some good hits. WBS scored early on but it was immediately waived off.

Barry Goers had a nice wrap around but couldn’t find an opening , Gibbins and Zolnierczyk combined and just missed. A few controversial calls or no calls bit no goals either way by the end of the first period it was 0-0 WBS out shooting the Bruins 10-3.

Second period was all Penguins Aton Zlobin would get things started with a tally just 1:17 into the second then Conor Sheary on the power play making it two nothing WBS. Jayson Megna would make it three nothing WBS, Brian Gibbons takes the Pens up 4-0 then to round out the scoring Tommy Kostopoulos makes it 5-0.

Yes you read that right fans that was five goals in just 7:16. The Providence Bruins would score to make it 5-1 as the Penguins were caught looking at the puck with just 53.9 seconds left on the ticker. Leaving for the second intermission the Penguins had momentum but would they keep attacking or try to glide through.

And just as the word left my fingers out came the Penguins and on came the Bruins scoring three unanswered goals in 9:55 not as impressive as the 7 minute romp the Penguins had but enough to quiet the WBS Penguin home crowd and maybe even invoke some anger.

In the end the WBS Penguins came out victorious over the Bruins and will now head to the Eastern Conference Finals against the St. John’s IceCaps, the first of two up in St John’s is scheduled for Saturday the 24 of May.
