Penguins Slip To Bruins 2-1

It was the Providence Bruins coming to town tonight to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on a cold March night, seems like it should be getting warmer but yet it isn’t. Anyway the Penguins one point out of first behind the Binghamton Senators could have used a win tonight but it just wasn’t in the cards.

Providence struck first tonight getting the jump on the WBS Penguins early one. Craig Cunningham got a nice pass out from behind the net and snapped it on Peter Mannino but it beat him making it a one to none game.

The WBS Penguins would get a few chances to even it up but Malcolm Subban stopped them keeping the Bruins in the lead heading in to the first intermission.

Second period wasn’t kind to the Penguins Providence would tally one moe goal to make it 2-1 at 14:50 while on the power play. WBS Penguins would get some great chance Chuck Kobasew almost had two more tallies but just couldn’t find the handle.

Not a great period for the boys in the black and gold but not a terrible one either leaving the ice for intermission number two down 2-1.

WBS was not having a great night in way of bounces, not that they weren’t getting chances but the puck just seemed to stay out of the net no matter what they did at times.

Tonight’s contest would end with the Penguins falling to the Providence bruins 2-1 here are some highlights from tonight’s game.
