Penguins Leash Bulldogs

The WBS Penguins are spending some time north of the border and tonight took on the Hamilton Bulldogs looking to gain a little ground by picking up some much needed points.

The first period went in the books with the Bulldogs pulling out in front of the WBS Penguins by a goal late in the period. Both teams seeing some chances but Hamilton was the one who capitalized on it.

Second period gets underway with the WBS Penguins on the power play giving WBS a great chance to even things up. It doesn’t take long forty two seconds to be exact as Andrew Ebbett tips one in making it one all.

Hilton would get called for a hook putting the Pens back in the power play, Tom Kostopoulos fires one right off the face off scoring the Penguins second goal making it 2-1 WBS and now going 2 for 3 on the power play.

The WBS Penguins get their third power play just around the halfway point of the second as well as the game and Denver Manderson would poke home the power play goal for the Pens putting his team up three to one over Hamilton and that’s how the second would end.

Hamilton scores early in the third on the power play making it a one goal game once again with a lot of hockey yet to be played. The WBS Penguins giving the Bulldogs several man advantages but keep the one goal lead.

With just under a minute left in the game WBS Penguins would score an empty net goal, Andrew Ebbett would tally his second goal of the night putting him on HTA and putting the Pens up by two once again.

That’s where tonight’s contest within the Wilkes-Barre/ Scranton Penguins taking the Hamilton Bulldogs by a score of 4-2.
