The Norfolk Admirals came to town tonight taking on the Penguins at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, WBS coming off a disappointing shootout loss last night against the Binghamton Senators looking to get back in the winners circle Norfolk looking to keep the Penguins on a downhill slide.

First period Brian Gibbons would light the lamp getting a nice feed from Simon Despres at the blue line taking it and going five hole on Gibson just over three minutes in to the game making it one nothing Penguins.  WBS would get the first power play of the game but would do nothing with it.

Norfolk would get their first power play of the game at 11:29 of the first as McNeal would sit for a rough WBS would kill it keeping the one point lead. Leblond wold get called for interference late in the first putting the Pens on the PK again this time Norfolk would take advantage making it one all. WBS would give the Admirals another power pklay right after that and even some carry over into the second.

Norfolk gets 1:37 of power play time to start the second but the Pens kill does the job. WBS gets a chance on the power play just after the kill but again can’t convert. Leblond finds a dance partner for a little jig, have to give this one to Leblond all Stortinidid was cover up and try to hold on basically and tried to show off a bit after the fight.

Leblond would have a second dance partner this time Kurtz wanted to try his dance moves but still Leblond did the leading, Bobby farnham was looking to get a dance partner but no takers from Norfolk. at the end of the second period it was tied one all shots on net were also tied at 16 each.

The third period got going Zolnierczyk got a sting just over a minute into the period but returned to the ice shortly after looking no worse for the wear.Norfolk would score 5:45 in as Mannino freezes the puck between his pads looking for a whist;le but referee Graham Skilliter couldn’t find the whistle, Norfolk hacked and whacked at Mannino’s pad putting the puck in the net making it 2-1 Admirals.

Uher gets a chance to do the tango and makes the best of it, WBS gets a chance on the power play with 11:21 left in the third looking to even things up but just can’t find an opening.

Needless to say tonigh’s game did not go the way the Penguins wanted dropping their second game of the season and their second of the weekend to the Norfolk Admirals by a score of 2-1.
