Penguins Make It 5 – 0 On Season Beating Sharks

Peter Mannino getting the start tonight against the Sharks up in Worcester as the Penguins take on the Sharks. Early action in the first  McNeill and Gogol get into it after Gogol boarded Payerl, things get sorted out and back to action.

Both teams came out hard tonight taking it almost halfway through the first period before any scoring would happen it would be Freddy Hamilton scoring for the Sharks making it 1-0 Worcester. Worcester was out shooting the Penguins in the firs 11-4 but only leading by one at the buzzer.

Second period action saw more of the same from the first period both sides getting after it but nobody putting it in the net Sharks holding the lead of one to none. Lablond and Doherty do a little dance nothing to good though.

By the end of the second period the WBS Penguins have had 4 power play opportunities but could not convert the PK has killed off one Sharks power play. Peter Mannino doing a good job in net keeping the PK alive a few times for the Pens.

Third period Tommy Kuhnhackl gets the Pens on the board with a nice goal on a nice feed from Ebbett everything tied at one. Not even three minutes later the Sharks come back putting one past Mannino making it 2-1 Sharks, McCarthy would get the tally for Worcester.

Andrew Ebbett would score later in the third period his first of the season for the WBS Penguins, Ebbett would put it past Sateri making it a two all game. Tommy Kuhnhackl would be the hero as he would smoke one in the net with just forty seconds left in regulation making it 3-2 WBS Penguins and putting him on HTA, if there were more time in the period he might have scored a natural.

Tonigh’s win make it a perfect 5-0 on the season and a perfect 2 for 2 on the weekend.
