Less than 600 tickets remain for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins’ St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, presented by Tobyhanna Federal Credit Union, taking place on Saturday, Mar. 23 at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza as the team faces off against the Norfolk Admirals at 7:05PM.

For the 14th straight season, the Penguins will don special St.20130318-204238.jpgPatrick’s Day-themed shamrock jerseys for the night, which will be auctioned off during the game to benefit the Penguins United Way Charity Fund.

Eight hundred pucks have been signed and will be sold for $10 apiece. Fans that get a puck with a special St. Patrick’s Day decal will also receive a player-signed stick.

In the spirit of the evening, the Wyoming Valley Pipe and Drum band and the Gallagher School of Irish Dancing will also provide entertainment during the game.

The first 5,000 fans at the game will also receive a Penguins Clothes Hamper, courtesy of the Scranton Times, Citizens Voice and Times Tribune.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins finish a seven-game road stretch on Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00PM versus the Syracuse Crunch.

About B.Pettit

Lead Journalist - Owner - Editor I developed PensFans4Ever back when the Penguins first came to Wilkes-Barre. It was started to keep the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Fans along with the Pittsburgh Penguin Fans up to date with happenings as far as who is up and who is down. We Started out as just a message board where we would post news and information and other fans would post their feelings and any information they had. We then turned into a dot com and started making a true web site, at first it was just news, we incorporated a message board into the site. By the third year we added a chat feature. This enables the fans to gather in a live chat room during games that they can’t be at. We try to make it as informative as possible. Since everything that has happened to us we have turned our site into a blog but keeping with what we started out to do not just giving you our thoughts and interpretations we incorporate official team news and press releases.
