WBS Takes Devils In Shootout

The first period got off to a good start Farnham and McKelvie have am early dance both headed to the box but WBS earned the power play since Albany got called for too many men on the ice. Phil DeSimone took an extra hack at Zatkoff on a play after he stopped the puck but he held on to the puck.

Smith one times a puck into the net on the power play to make it 1-0 penguins with just over ten minutes to go in the first. Uher and Darcy Zajac fight to a draw with 11.9 left in the period and that’s that for the first.

Second period saw more action with Maxime Clermont coming up big for the Devils keeping the Pens within reach just one goal ahead, it wouldn’t be until late in period that the Devils would even it up on an chip in Devils overloaded one side put across the crease and Zajac tips it in.

Third period came and went with very little SOG’s eleven total between the two clubs no scoring from either side makes for some OT on a Saturday night. Neither side would score in the OT so we went to the shootout.

basket for the WBS Penguins and Jeff Zatkoff would hold the Devils to only two in giving the Penguins the win and two points keeping them one point ahead of Hershey.
