WBS Falls To Admirals

Tonight the WBS Penguins took on the Norfolk Admirals at the Mohegan Sun Arena At Casey Plaza in front of a home crowd.

Norfolk gets the first power play as Holzapfel sits for a hook off the faceoff not a good way to start the game this would be the first of two the Pens would give Norfolk this period but the WBS PK and some nice net minding by Zatkoff would keep Norfolk out.

The Penguins would also get two chances on the power play in the first but would have nothing to show for it, Norfolk seemed to dictate this period beating the Pens to the puck and out skating them in their own zone.

During the second period the Penguins picked up their play they were getting more shots on goal and controlling the puck more Tommy Kostopoulos would score for the Pens getting them on the scoreboard first during a power play. Norfolk would also score on the power play making 1-1 at the end of two.

WBS came out for the third looking ok at first but then it all kind of went away. Norfolk would score a second goal as Zatkoff looked out of position Norfolk put it on net from a funny spot can’t tell if it was tipped or it was off of Zatkoff either way it was in the net score number 2 for the Admirals.

That would be the game Norfolk Admirals 2 the WBS Penguins 1

About B.Pettit

Lead Journalist - Owner - Editor I developed PensFans4Ever back when the Penguins first came to Wilkes-Barre. It was started to keep the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Fans along with the Pittsburgh Penguin Fans up to date with happenings as far as who is up and who is down. We Started out as just a message board where we would post news and information and other fans would post their feelings and any information they had. We then turned into a dot com and started making a true web site, at first it was just news, we incorporated a message board into the site. By the third year we added a chat feature. This enables the fans to gather in a live chat room during games that they can’t be at. We try to make it as informative as possible. Since everything that has happened to us we have turned our site into a blog but keeping with what we started out to do not just giving you our thoughts and interpretations we incorporate official team news and press releases.
