Penguins Kick Senators 5-2



Right off the Hop Payerl and Downing dance earning five minute fights then WBS takes a penalty Chad Kalorik sits for a high stick , then Dylan Reese gets clipped with a high stick and Bingo would sit for 2 nullifying the power play.

Later during the WBS power play Bingo has too many men drawing a 2 minute minor giving the Pens a 5 on 3. Just as the power play expired Chad Kalorik puts it in the net making it 1-0 WBS.

Later in the period Lubda flattens Uher. Kalorik comes to his assistance drawing the instigator penalty so Lubda Gets 2 Kalorik 2+2= Binghamton power play, WBS kills it off.

WBS starts the second with some carry over power play time but the Senators do a good job of killing it off. Binghamton capitalizes on a WBS turnover, Adam Payerl turns it over on another WBS power play allowing Binghamton to earn a short handed goal and the penalty parade would continue, so far all the goals have been scored by special teams.

WBS goes up 2-1 as Smith taps in a rebound! 2-1 on the power play then Binghamton gets called for too many men on the ice putting WBS back on the power play. Tom Kostopoulos gets called for a trip making it 4×4 hockey and giving the Senators a brief power play. Second period ends two to one WBS Penguins with the lead.

Just thirty five seconds into the third period the Pens have a bang bang play Chad Kalorik puts it on net and Trevor Smith bangs it home WBS up 3-1. The penalty parade continues with Riley Holzapfel heading to the box for a charge with Binghamton on the power play Gibbons comes in on Lehner short handed on a steal slams on the breaks and fakes Lehner out of his equipment scoring goal number 4 for the Pens , that’s the fifth shorty for WBS this season.

Mormina and Kramer dancing score this one for Mormina then Hugh Jessiman runs wild and heads to the box WBS Power Play but WBS can’t convert and Kostopoulos takes a trip penalty with :17 left on the WBS power play, that’s the second time tonight Tom takes a penalty on the power play giving Binghamton brief power plays.

Penguins go up 5-1 with a Dylan Reese goal just about escorting the fans out of the Broome County Arena, then Marshall and Farnham do a dance score that one even. Just off the face off Jack Downing smacks one home cutting the Penguins lead to 5-2 with just 4 minutes to play.

With just 2:12 left Uher to the Bin for a trip giving the Senators yet another chance for a goal, and again the Pens kill it. That would be the game WBS wins 5-2.

Tonight’s game has to be one of the most penalized games this season with 19 power plays between the two clubs.
