Penguins Streak Ends -Amerks Win 4 – 2

WBS Penguins get going fast as Chad Kalorik puts his first shot in the twine just a little over a minute into tonight’s game.

First period came and went the Pens out shooting the Amerks 8 to7 both teams going 0-1 on the power play.

As the second frame gets going Mark Pysyk would score making it one all, WBS looking a little sluggish to start this period just like the other night.

Brad Thiessen keeping WBS Penguins in this with some good saves Tom Kostopoulos keeps a puck in the zone and puts it on net looking as he never left then Zach Sill puts it home WBS takes a 2-1 lead.

Amerks would even things up it would be Brian Flynn on the power play with less than five minutes left in the second. Adam Pardy gives Rochester a 3-2 lead not good looking at just over a minute left in the period. Amerks get another one with 7.4 left in the second but WBS draws a penalty that will give them a man advantage for almost 2 minutes to start the third.

WBS Power Play does not score Rochester keeping a two goal lead. Tom Kostopoulos takes a holding penalty giving the Amerks a chance to get more but Gibbons gets taken down by Mancari making it 4 on 4 then WBS a short power play but nothing.

Mormina and Mancari have a big collision at center ice both players shaken a bit but Joey returned to play looking no worse for wear. The WBS Penguins had some great chances in the third period but David Leggio would keep the Amerks at a two goal lead keeping the shots out of the net.

Tonight’s game would end 4-2 now the ream is heading further north to take on the Toronto Marlies.
