Penguins Take Bears 2-1 At Outdoor Classic

It was a cold night in Hershey PA as the WBS Penguins took on the Hershey Bears in the Hershey Park Arena for the 2013 AHL Outdoor Classic.

It was a nice crowd on hand for tonight’s game some 17 plus thousand fans filled the stands to cheer their respective team on, Tux and Cocoa were on hand as well to ad to the fan experience.

Good music filled the air along with the smell of good food during the pre game activities.

All in all a great weekend here in Chocolate town.

Tonight’s game started out on a bad note for the Penguins as the Bears got in the board first but not until the second period. It would be Tomas Kundratek who would net the first

goal of the game putting the Penguins behind the eight ball but with plenty of hockey left for the Pens to catch up.

Riley Holzapfel would score the even up goal for the Pens just over seven minutes into the third period now one all both teams were looking for the game winner.

WBS would get it but not during regulation it would come on a goal
from Paul Thompson during OT. That would be it the WBS Penguins would win the 2013 Outdoor Classic 2-1
