Penguins Sink Norfolk 4-2

Good flow to the game early both aides getting some good looks but it would be Norfolks Nick Schaus gets a wrister by Thiessen at 6:04  in the 1st making it  1-0 Norfolk

WBS Penguins start the second period with 3:57 left in a double minor  power play the were given at the end of the first as Guentzel sat for high sticking.

Norfolk’s  bodie  gets called for a trip on Grant creating a 5 on 3 for WBS.  Holzapfel  scores on a tipped bullet snapshot from Grant beating -Fasth stick side making it one all with still time on the power play.

Brad Thiessen making a great save just after the WBS goal keeping it an even game. Joe Morrow would take an interference penalty with less than six minutes left in the second giving Norfolk a dangerous chance to take the lead. As Morrow’s penalty expires and Joe comes out of the box Adam Payerl jumps the wall and WBS Penguins get called for too many men Norfolk gets back to back power plays.

WBS Penguins take the lead as they crash the net everyone hacking and wacking and Paul Thompson would get the go ahead goal putting the puck in the net behind Fasth now 2-1 Penguins.

Payerl and Crowder really starting to get into the main stream with the WBS Penguins making some great plays and getting some good chances.

Trevor Smith would take a foolish slashing penalty late in the third period giving the Admirals a glorious catch up chance and they beat Brad Thiessen over the shoulder making it a 2-2 game with just five minutes to play.

Just as play gets started again Norfolk takes a roughing penalty giving the WBS Penguins the chance they needed to get a go ahead goal one more time and that they would do with 2:49 to play Alex Grant releases yet another laser making it 3-2 WBS Penguins.

Holzapfel would clear the puck over the glass getting a delay of game penalty with just under 2 minutes  to play giving Norfolk what they need to get caught up. Pulling Fasth Norfolk  gets a 6 on 4 but Brian Gibbons would block a shot pick up the puck and take it down and put it in the open net making it 4-2 WBS.

That would be it Penguins win in Norfolk.
