Well fans it was another familiar scene at the Mohegan Sun Arena tonight one WBS Penguin fans have witnessed for the past 13 out of 15 games eight on home ice.
Some say they think our team is at a stand still while the rest of the league is advancing. Others feel that our boys have lost the spark, there is even a faction who feel the coaching may have something to do with it. Whatever it is there has to be a change, and soon.
Tonight the Pens fell to the Senators, WBS gets first power play of the game Binghamton got the first goal. WBS power play didn’t come until the period was 12 minutes old and didn’t do a thing for the Penguins for points or the way they played.
Binghamton’s goal was nicely set up with a back door pass the shot was tipped in giving the senators the one point lead.
The WBS Penguins gave it what they had but just couldn’t seem to get anything past Lehmer.
Sill and Cowick would do the five knuckle waltz Sill trying to spark his team have to score this one for Sill but seemed to be a mute point as the Pens just couldn’t find the handle.
The Senators would strike again on Eric Gryba’s long wrist shot it came from the point Zatkoff seemed to make the stop but then it trickled into the net.
Paul Thompson’s would get the extra effort goal for the Pens cutting the lead in half making it a one goal game again, but that would be it Binghamton would tally am empty net goal Mike Hoffman intercepting the puck at center ice and putting it home.
That would be the game Penguins 1 Senators 3.
