Penguins Drop Second Game In Two Days To Bears

Bears strike first on a back post goal by Mitchell then Farnham and Marshall get into it, both get the gate for the remainder of the period but the Pens Fans get a lift out of it.

Pens seem to be setting the pace bit not getting anything in the way of goals or good quality shots on net. Pens get the power play as  Potulny sits for boarding but the Bears kill it.

End of the first Pens trail Beats 1-0 Trevor Smith is in the bin for charging and the Bears will get a carry over power play to start the second period.

Bears go up 2-0 at 5/50 of the second frame as Oleksy gets a nice Feed and snaps one past Zatkoff. Pens seem to have lost some momentum not getting to where they have to be when they have to be there, even when they are seem to be having some trouble handling the puck this period.

WBS Penguins get a chance on the power play according to Tom Grace WBS has one power play goal in the last 39 power plays a stat that speaks for itself.

Paul Thompson came in on Holtby and Oleksy unloaded on him WBS ends up with a double minor for roughing Hershey ended up with only 2 for roughing giving the bears a power play, yes they scored making it a three point game

Thiessen gets the net for the third period hoping to change WBS’s luck this period. Pens kill off the power play Hershey started with. WBS Penguins gets a 4 minute power play as Hershey sits for a slash and a cross check WBS converts making it 3-1 Hershey still with a 2 minute power play on the Pens side but that would be it for that series.

WBS Penguins not getting any lift out of the power play goal seeming to still be having trouble getting the puck moving in the right direction and when they get it in where they want it they have trouble keeping it there. Just not a good night for WBS.

Despres and Schilling do a dance have to score that one for Despres both would sitnfor five. Not ling after the fight Hershey’s Kane would score the Bears fourth now 4-1 Hershey with less then 2 minutes to play.

That’s how it would end the WBS Penguins dropping the second game in two meetings and days to the Hershey Bears.
