Penguins start out looking just as fast as they did last night against the Sound Tigers.
Bears score on a penalty shot earned as Bennett coughed up the puck on the power play causing an odd man rushing and a penalty taken by WBS
Just after the goal pens would take a roughing penalty giving Hershey another power play and a chance to go up two points on the Pens but the WBS PK does the job again.
Samuelsson gets destroyed by Boyd Kane drawing only a two minute power play for WBS that would spill over into the second period just a bit.
Morrow gets into a scuffle with Clackson creating a lot of anger on the WBS Penguins bench Morrow holding his own Pens put out a tough line Farnham goes after Jeff Taffe and does a nice job handling things
Trevor Smith gets the pens on the board with a nice power play goal. Beau Bennett slid Smith a nice pass and Smith puts it in the net behind Braden Holtby.
Hershey gets their second goal as a waived off goal is reviewed and awarded, doesn’t look like a Penguins night tonight.
Mitchell steals the puck comes in on Thiessen Murrow trips him up creating a power play for the bears. Hershey’s Kundratekputs it top shelf past Thiessen with four tenths of a second left in the second.
Penguins get a power play on the top of the third as Stafford would sit for a hold giving the pens a power play and the WBS Penguins wind it up but can’t seem to break through the Hershey defense.
WBS shuffles the lines a bit trying to get a different look for the Bears with 6:21 left in regulation the WBS Penguins still trailed 3-1.
The Pens would pull Thiessen with 1:44 to go looking at a last stitch effort but nothing really happening for the Pens, Hershey would get the empty net goal then Farnham would start some rough stuff and Marshall would get into it with Uher. That would be it fans as they let the last three seconds tic off the clock. It is Hershey Bears 4-1 over the WBS Penguins.
Thiessen did a nice job in tonight’s contest keeping out 17 out of 20 he faced, Pens PK held it’s own killing 4 out of five the Bears had the Power Play just couldn’t seem to find it tonight converting only one out of five attempts.
WBS will make the trip again on the 21st of this month, yes that’s right this Wednesday they will make the trip again to Chocolate Town to take on the Bears looking to even some scores and bring home a win for thanksgiving.
