Penguins Get Hershey For Easter

The Penguins and Bears got off to a good start end to end hockey for both sides, both teams getting some great chances WBS out shooting the Bears 13 to 4 the lone goal of the period came on a Nice shot form Jason Williams at the point and a nice deflection from Geoff Walker to put it in on the power play making it one nothing Penguins .

Penguins heading off the ice for the first break looking at a one to nothing lead over the Bears but the bears aren’t a team you can let a lead sit with you have to keep after it and keep looking to score not sit back and play keep away besides one point would never be enough with any team at this point.

Joey Mormina leveled Ryan Potulny with a nice hit just inside the blue line really shook him up then Julien Brouillette came over to assist his team mate against Mormina and drew an extra 2 minutes for roughing. Penguins don’t make good on it but do score later Brandon DeFazio would put it in the net behind Dany Sabourin making it two nothing Pens.

Hershey would score less than three minutes later making it 2-1 Pens then again less than a minute after to make it two all. The WBS Penguins would take a lot of bad timed penalties this period but would make it through holding on to a 2-2 game at the end of two periods.

The third wasn’t looking good as the Pens couldn’t convert on a 5 on 3 But Ben Street would tip in a nice shot from just inside the blue line from Joey Mormina to make it three to two on a Penguins power play.

Nick Petersen would score an empty net goal for the WBS Penguins putting a bow on this game and taking the 4-2 win over the Hershey Bears. I forgot to mentions the fight between Zach Sill and Marshall was a decent fight I would call it about even as they go but it seemed to get things going for the Pens.

Nice job by the Pens tonight a little to many penalties for my liking but all in all a good job.
