Petersen Recalled To WBS

The Wheeling Nailers announce today that Forward Nick Petersen has been reassigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Assigned to Wheeling on January 25, Petersen tallied four goals and five assists for a total of nine points in seven games. The second-year pro has appeared in 28 contests this season for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, compiling six goals and six assists.

Last year during his rookie season, the Wakefield, Quebec native led the Nailers in assists (33) and points (57) and was tied for the team lead in goals (24). He also registered 14 points (5g-9a) in 23 games with the Penguins.

The Nailers return to WesBanco Arena this weekend for two exciting games. On Friday night February 10th, the Nailers host the Toledo Walleye at 7:35 PM. On Saturday February 11th, the Trenton Titans come to town for a 7:35 PM face-off
