Pens Get Wrapped Up In Chocolate Town

The WBS Penguins coming off two great wins this weekend were looking to make it three for three today in Chocolate Town. Yes our boys took a trip down interstate 81 to the Sweetest Place on Earth, Hershey PA. No they weren’t looking to buy valentine candy although they may have who knows but instead were looking to take six points out of this three game weekend.

The Penguins got on the board first as they added to their short handed tally making it 12 so far for the season Brandon DeFazio would pick off a pass at the blue line and he was off to the races putting it past Braden Holtby making it one nothing Penguins.

It wasn’t long after the Bears would get their first and second making it a 2-1 game, but the Pens weren’t out of this game yet Cody Wild fired a puck towards Holtby and Lerg got a stick on it as it got passed Holtby making it two all. That’s how the first would end looking at a tie game heading for the break.

The scoring would resume again but not until just past the halfway mark of the second frame the Pens were on a 5 on 3 power play and this time made it count as Geoff Walker would score with just one second left on the 2 man advantage making it 3-2 Pens.

The third saw some great chances on each end but only one score as the Bears would put it past Munroe 7:20 into the period to even it up. That’s where it would stay through regulation and OT the Penguins almost getting the game winner in OT but getting robbed at the door step, on to the shootout.

Needless to say you probably figured it out by now that the Bears came out on top, but that’s how it goes sometimes. The Penguins will head home after a good weekend run getting 4 out of 6 points.
